Hello Folks - My primary SW radio is a Kenwood R-5000 with upgrade filters; yk-88A, yk-88sn, and a yk-88cn. I have the matching Kenwood speaker. My antenna currently is a 94 foot long wire about 8ft off the ground connected to a 9:1 un-un. I also use a homebrewed RF Signal Conditioner & Preselector with a built in antenna impedence matcher. Serious listening is done with headphones utilizing an old Radio Shack DSP-40 and an Autek Research QF-1A filter.
I live in the sandhills region of North Carolina, USA...
